I’m intimidated by all the white space on this blog. Rather than, you know, writing stuff to fill it (which I will eventually do), I’m going to cut a few corners. Long before I had my act together (do I?) Kate launched Smart Girls, Stupid Things, a blog about appearance, media, Hollywood, gender and sex. She graciously allowed me to flex my rapidly-atrophying writing muscles in the Smart Girls space on topics such as:
